The Authority of Scripture |
We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings; the supreme and final authority in doctrine, faith, and practice even unto the end of the ages. |
The Person of God |
We believe in One Infinite God; the unchangeable, holy, wise, sovereign Creator, the faithful Sustainer and Judge of all; eternally existing in three Persons; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. |
The Person of Christ |
We believe that the Son Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, possessing perfect deity and perfect humanity, very God and very Man. |
The Person of the Holy Spirit |
We believe that the Person of the Holy Spirit is the believer's teacher, guide, comforter, and helper choosing to exalt the Father and Son, and is the reprover and restrainer of evil. |
The Separation of Man |
We believe that man although originally created in the image of God, incurred physical and spiritual death through sin which alienated him from holy God and placed him under God's righteous anger. |
The Office of Christ |
We believe in the death, burial, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven to the right hand of the Father where as High Priest and Advocate He intercedes on behalf of all who hold a true profession of faith. |
The Sacrifice of Christ |
We believe that Jesus Christ is man's only representative and substitute; that He gave His life for man's sin and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood. |
The Everlasting Life of Man |
We believe in the life hereafter of all men; that apart from God's saving grace, depraved man will come before judgment to be condemned to actual and eternal punishment; but by God's grace all who have repented from sin, and received the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior, being members therefore in the Spirit and of one Body, regenerated and sealed unto the day of redemption, are saved to abundant and eternal life. |
The Judgment Seat of Christ |
We believe that every believer must appear before the judgment seat of Christ to receive reward or lack of reward according as he has lived in his body; that reward is derived by living a life void of known and unconfessed sins, and by obeying the commandment to be filled with the Spirit moment by moment, therein by His power fulfilling the will of God; such life being characterized by love exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit, and lived in separation from the sinful practices of the world. |
The Final Victory |
We believe in the triumphant and personal return of the lord Jesus Christ; the overthrow of Satan and his angels; their final and complete banishment to the lake of fire; and a future order of existence wherein dwells total righteousness. |
